Bea Nasaw tasted Swedish cream in a local restaurant then we researched to find this recipe. Swedish cream is light and elegant finish to any meal.
1 envelope of plain gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1 quart half & half
1 cup sugar
1 pint sour cream
Dissolve the gelatin in water. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Heat a burner on the stove to medium. Pour the cream and the gelatin into a medium-sized saucepan. Cook until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and fold in the sour cream.
Whip until well combined.
Pour into one large serving bowl or small dessert dishes. Chill for at least 4 hours.
Serve with sweetened berries.
