A large container of homemade iced tea in the fridge, pure happiness. The flavor of the tea is star of this drink and try to avoid using sweeteners.
Ingredients
4 tablespoons of loose tea or 8 tea bags
2 cups hot water
2 cups cold water
Place 4 tablespoons of loose tea or 8 to 10 bags of tea in a two-cup glass measuring cup.
Pour in 2 cups of hot almost boiling water 150° to 209° F and let steep for 2 to 4 minutes.
Strain or remove the tea bags. Pour into a quart-sized pitcher. Add one or two flavor options.
Add 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Store in the refrigerator.Yield 1 quart. Serve with ice.
