Olive oil mayonnaise tastes better than any store-bought product found in a jar. Use for salad dressings, sandwich spreads, or instead of an egg wash in breaded chicken.
I admit it, mayonnaise is my favorite condiment.
1 small clove of garlic
1 teaspoon mustard
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 cup olive oil
1 lemon, squeezed and strained
Blend egg, garlic, mustard, pepper, salt and sugar. Slowly add the olive oil.
Continue to blend until the liquid becomes a solid. Add the lemon juice. Blend until combined.
Pour into a glass container. Refrigerate or use immediately.
